What Makes Petaluma Dog Walkers Different ...
John Polzoni is a Petaluma native, PHS Class of 1989, an animal-loving former 4-H’er (pigs), and a passionate triathlete and back-country adventurer.
Molly Krawczyk, is a longtime Petaluma resident, co-director of the Novato School of Dance, Graduate from SSU with a B.A. in Women’s History and a love for animals since she was a little girl.
John and Molly founded Petaluma Dog Walkers in 2002 after they realized how much they enjoyed taking their dog, Kenya, out to the beach, on long walks around town and camping in the back-country... They decided to share their enthusiasm for this fun, outdoorsy style of dog care with the entire Petaluma community, and their family of dog lovers has been growing ever since.
John and Molly are expert at working with all breeds of dogs, individually and in packs. They know most dogs enjoy being with other dogs of similar size and temperament, and that play-time isn’t only about getting into the fresh air or a pool for some exercise, but also finding the right pack to socialize with.
Dog Walker Ranch
Staffed by certified, well-trained experts, Dog Walker Ranch is a fenced, private, 28,000-square-foot play Ranch, that enables dogs to play and socialize, in a safe controlled environment, on 10,000 square feet of synthetic turf designed expressly for dogs.
In addition to many canine toys and fun play structures, the Ranch features a 16,000-gallon, 33’x16’x4’ above-ground pool with a platform built six inches under water level and a ramp that allows dogs to walk comfortably into the water. (For scenes of dogs enjoying Dog Walker Ranch, please watch the video.)
The DogBus is a unique, panel van outfitted with rows of individual crates for safe dog transportation. Many dog-walking services put dogs into vans or station wagons without safety restraints. Each canine client of Petaluma Dog Walkers travels to and from play-time secured in a private crate. You’ve probably seen the DogBus around town. Wave when you do!
Dogumentation is the way Petaluma Dog Walkers assures a happy, harmonious, well-socialized dog population. John or Molly will come to your home to meet your dog, establish a trusted connection in your presence, and assess what group (breeds, size, temperament) your dog would play best with. Play groups don’t work for all dogs, if not, we offer individual play dates or a walk around town. You can rest assured that every dog yours will encounter has been evaluated for good social skills.
Our sister company Play Dog Play offers full Doggie Daycare and Home-Like Dog Boarding.
